There is no denying that the rise in coffee culture is growing rapidly year by year. It seems like the sociable and “in” thing to do nowadays is to go and grab a coffee with a bunch of friends and catch up. I have also noticed more and more that coffee is becoming quite the perfect commodity on a social level where it’s being enjoyed by many individuals such as businessmen, university students right through to mums and housewives.
The best thing about it is that coffee manufacturers are now producing a higher quality coffee that can be enjoyed in the comfort of your own home which makes it more enjoyable and more accessible and the best feeling to know that you can enjoy coffee shop style quality at home!
There are many coffee brands out there but for me personally I feel that Nescafe are the leading coffee brand and are constantly striving to produce the best coffee for all occasions. There are the Nescafe Dolce Gusto pods which offer you coffee in many different varieties so there is something for everyone with the perfect cup produced at a flick of a switch. Nescafe have also introduced Origins giving you four fabulous varieties of coffee from parts of the world producing the best roasted beans. Sumatra is a big favourite for me as I love
the nutty, caramel tastes and the smoothness it offers.

So if you are wanting a latte, espresso, cappuccino, caramel latte or even a chai tea latte- there is something for you.
Families alike don’t think that it just stops at coffee as the brand also create fabulous family favourites such as a chocolate collection and tea collection, even ice coffee drinks! For a small but quick guide on coffee, I wanted to share the love on some favourites of mine and the style of drinks available:
Espresso - Strong black coffee
Cappuccino - Coffee combining espresso with frothy and steamed milk
Americano- One shot of espresso to a cup of boiling water
Mocha- A cappuccino with added chocolate syrup or powder
Chai Tea Latte- Like a Latte, but with added spice tea into the mix
The pods are easy and very convenient and compatible with the Dolce Gusto Krups and De’ Longhi machines and are available from most supermarkets. If you think about the affordability level, you infact get a whole lot coffee pods in a box for effectively the same price as nearly two coffees outside which makes it a win,win for all coffee lovers!
Flavours wise, there’s something for EVERYONE and I mean if you have younger members at home who want to indulge yet stay healthy with added calcium drinks, why not give the scrumptious Nesquik a taste, this is the perfect hot drink with a great taste. These aren’t too sweet either so it’s a perfectly balanced drink with great Nesquik taste and nutrients and calcium for growing bones. Aside from that, if your looking to indulge a little more then enjoy the fabulous Chococino pods, you can’t go wrong where premium chocolate meets frothy whole milk.
After a hit of coffee? Don’t worry, we have got you covered. Nescafe Dolce Gusto have collaborated with high street giants Starbucks to bring out a collection of the Starbucks classics. A few favourites include Cappuccino, Latte Machiatto and Espresso Blonde Roast.
If you are looking for organically grown coffee, there are also coffee beans from Columbia (Lungo) and Mexico (Americano), with both packs containing x12 pods giving you high quality and great tasting cups each time.
The Americano has notes of toasted hazelnut and plum and the Lungo has notes of toasted almond, nutmeg and barley. These are perfect for a little help starting the morning the right way!
It’s no wonder the coffee culture is flying high with more and more fabulous favourites being manufactured. I myself have also learnt a lot about coffee and have found some new added favourites to my list. It definitely makes being at home a little more enjoyable and great when you can have the fun of arranging coffee mornings with friends and family. Nescafe are simply brilliant, Dolce Gusto are home coffee pod geniuses!
