Iconic dining at Planet Hollywood London

Dining out in London couldn’t be more of a joy and with some much choice of cuisine there is always something great to feast on. A recent favourite of mine has to be the good old American foods- simple, tasty and succulent.

If you are after somewhere that’s exciting, family friendly and iconic, Planet Hollywood in London’s Haymarket is the best place for you! I simply adore this restaurant and could not wait to share it in all its glory. It really is something special. Planet Hollywood was launched with the backing of Hollywood megastars Sylvester Stallone, Bruce Willis, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Demi Moore and contains more than 85 pieces of movie memorabilia scattered around to restaurant on view for all to adore and remember.

There are plenty of lovely starters on the menu which range from chicken to mini burger sliders or even a VIP sharing platter which consists of a lovely mix of different starters for some hungry mouths. The Buffalo Wings are a massive hit for me as they sum up great American food and are full of spicy taste, they are tasty chicken wings served with a blue cheese dressing and have some celery sticks on the side. Another favourite of mine is definitely the Jumbo Fried Shrimp! You get x6 in a portion and they are friend to perfection and served with a spicy sriracha sauce on cabbage slaw. These are SO moreish and well worth a try if your into your seafood!
If you have kids who aren’t into much spice then I would recommend the classic but tasty Potato Skins. The portions are enough to share for these are these are crispy potato wedges that are topped with bacon, cheddar and red cheddar served with sour cream. I do love these!!!

They have the best steak and baby pork ribs which are great for main courses and if your feeling super hungry. The steaks (Chuck Eye And Sirloin) are top quality supplied by Donald Russell butchers which give out the best tasting meats so it’s definitely a dish that won’t leave you hungry but possibly wanting more as it’s so delicious.
All steaks have been chargrilled and are accompanied with a trio of fries, green beans, grilled tomato and a lovely peppercorn sauce.

There are plenty of options for burgers if this takes your fancy with some creative toppings such as Avocado and Swiss cheese or the Mac Attack burger which is actually a personal favourite of mine as this monster huge burger contains five cheese Mac and cheese, hickory smoked bacon and the salad options. It truly is scrumptious and the burgers are served with a trio of fries or a house salad and are served in a light but tasty brioche bun.

If you are after something a little different and wanting to have a LA twist on an Italian classic then be sure to checkout the LA Lasagna. This dish looks so pretty and like a work of art but tastes even better- it’s basically fresh pasta tubes filled with ricotta cheese, beef bolognese sauce and peppers. It’s then fried to a golden brown and covered with a garlic cream and tomato basil sauce. It is extremely filling and probably enough for two people to share which is why I know how good it is as I happily sneaked a few fork fulls! The potions are a very good size and I have to say that the food is fun and great for sharing should you want to go with that options and there’s lots of options for people who like meat or veg or fish!
Other options for main courses vary from Asian Noodles to Pizzas to Sizzling Fajitas and more. The menu is pretty extensive but there will be plenty to choose from and leave you smiling after each mouthful!

Drinks whether you are wanting alcoholic or non alcoholic are a plenty and again, an extremely large choice ranging from cocktails to coke floats to milkshakes to sparkles and bubbles to smoothies and more!!! Cocktail wise, the Legally Blonde is a newly discovered and now huge favourite as this is a twist on the classic Pina Colada and with added strawberry purée.

Planet Hollywood really is a must for movie fans and just fans of America too as it’s just a haven of amazing memorabilia dotted all over the restaurant and you are just in awe of you surroundings from the moment you walk in. The music is great and the serve are very much on hand to ensure your enjoying your meal and offering any assistance where they can. Be sure to let the team know if it’s a special occasion for your visit as they have screens around the restaurant which display messages from you to your friends and loved ones to shout out or celebrate and it makes them feel very special. It’s a great atmosphere and has been rated top in family favourite places to eat in London.
Situated in Haymarket a stones throw from Piccadilly Circus, you are in the heart of the West End and Theatre Land, the best place to be for entertainment.

Mayfair is full of magic and sparkle indeed but when you come across hidden gems in the form of food and drink, that’s what makes London even more special. Set in the heart of Mayfair, but nestled in Down Street lies little Espana, a truly amazing Tapas restaurant called El Pirata.  This restaurant really does bring the taste of Spain to London and will leave your taste buds wanting more. El Pirata boasts a menu spanning more than 60 dishes ranging from meats, seafood, chicken to vegetables and there is something for all tastes. The portions are a generous size and are full of taste and succulent in all the right places. Whether you want to pop in for a light lunch, a romantic candle lit dinner, or want to have a drink with friends and family, you won’t be disappointed with what’s on offer. The very best in BBQ, with love from Bodean's - Covent Garden, London

Barbecue food is slowly becoming the latest trend and hearing about the ultimate barbecue experience being Bodean's restaurant in London’s Covent Garden, I couldn’t wait to try it out and sample the delights on offer.  The Bodean’s Covent Garden is the newest of their 7 restaurants and the brand was founded in 2002 by Canadian restaurant entrepreneur Andre Blais. This is definitely a meat eaters paradise and a completely different dining experience to I literally feel walking into the restaurant that I am no longer in the UK and that I am in a buzzing Texan bar/restaurant. The restaurant is a style sophistication and definitely has a huge southern vibe to it. Aromas of the food catch you soon as you walk in and instantly have you wondering what’s on the menu.  Whether you like chicken, beef, pork or prawns; there is something here for you.  The menu is quite vast but at the same time each dish is very interesting and leaves you wondering what to actu...

The rise of the UK coffee culture

There is no denying that the rise in coffee culture is growing rapidly year by year. It seems like the sociable and “in” thing to do nowadays is to go and grab a coffee with a bunch of friends and catch up. I have also noticed more and more that coffee is becoming quite the perfect commodity on a social level where it’s being enjoyed by many individuals such as businessmen, university students right through to mums and housewives.   The best thing about it is that coffee manufacturers are now producing a higher quality coffee that can be enjoyed in the comfort of your own home which makes it more enjoyable and more accessible and the best feeling to know that you can enjoy coffee shop style quality at home! There are many coffee brands out there but for me personally I feel that Nescafe are the leading coffee brand and are constantly striving to produce the best coffee for all occasions. There are the Nescafe Dolce Gusto pods which offer you coffee in many differen...
