Effective bottle feeding by Dr Browns

Dr Brown's Options Anti-Colic Starter Kit (Photo: www.drbrowns.co.uk)

Our LO has taken really well to bottle feeding and I definitely think this hugely is down to what brands you use as certain bottles work better than others and make life easier and more comfortable for baby in terms of stopping air getting into the teat, reducing colic and just general overall feeding and cleaning.
We are now using the bottles from Dr Browns and I had heard a lot of talk about the brand but as always, your never quite sure what to believe until you use them yourself. I have to say that I am so far massively impressed with this brand as our LO really gets on much better with his bottle nowadays than previously and the teat seems a lot more ‘breast’ like also prevents wind and air passing through.
These are definitely working for us as the LO would be agitated but also bring up a lot of his milk after feeding due to air passing through to him but now, this is massively reduced. It’s great for us as feeding time is much more peacefully and it’s great for baby as he is getting all his milk and also not having the discomfort.
The bottles are very easy to clean around the corners and in the edges where sometimes with other bottle brands- you feel like there was always parts where you couldn’t quite reach. The bottles come in sizes of 120ml and 240ml and there is even a 60ml bottle and test suitable for premature babies. They are all BPA free and are recommended by health professionals as they help to prevent colic or reduce the symptoms. I have found that these are perfect for expressing milk and also formula feeding and they also provide comfort to our LO in terms of the teat and it makes him feel like he is feeding off the breast.
The bottles are affordable and to me, a perfect gift for any new parents, baby showers and just to try something new as they definitely help!
Dr Browns also have a new product on the market which is the options bottle (options bottle gift set pictured below) this is something that is totally new to me and something that I haven’t yet seen before in a babies bottle and the concept of this is that you can use the bottle with or without the vent and what it does is helps babies digestion assists with any feeding problems and  also ensures that no air is let into the bottle so baby can have a comfortable feeding experience and also be less gassy at the end of it.  The vents can be removed so this is perfect for when baby gets older.  These bottles are definitely one for mothers to try and they also ensure that the milk flow remains smooth which then next baby have a perfect feeding experience.
The bottles like all high end professional products are BPA free and a fantastic thing is that 9/10 healthcare professionals recommend using the Dr Browns brands and bottles as they do help with  the relief of wind related colic.

The very best in BBQ, with love from Bodean's - Covent Garden, London

Barbecue food is slowly becoming the latest trend and hearing about the ultimate barbecue experience being Bodean's restaurant in London’s Covent Garden, I couldn’t wait to try it out and sample the delights on offer.  The Bodean’s Covent Garden is the newest of their 7 restaurants and the brand was founded in 2002 by Canadian restaurant entrepreneur Andre Blais. This is definitely a meat eaters paradise and a completely different dining experience to I literally feel walking into the restaurant that I am no longer in the UK and that I am in a buzzing Texan bar/restaurant. The restaurant is a style sophistication and definitely has a huge southern vibe to it. Aromas of the food catch you soon as you walk in and instantly have you wondering what’s on the menu.  Whether you like chicken, beef, pork or prawns; there is something here for you.  The menu is quite vast but at the same time each dish is very interesting and leaves you wondering what to actu...

The rise of the UK coffee culture

There is no denying that the rise in coffee culture is growing rapidly year by year. It seems like the sociable and “in” thing to do nowadays is to go and grab a coffee with a bunch of friends and catch up. I have also noticed more and more that coffee is becoming quite the perfect commodity on a social level where it’s being enjoyed by many individuals such as businessmen, university students right through to mums and housewives.   The best thing about it is that coffee manufacturers are now producing a higher quality coffee that can be enjoyed in the comfort of your own home which makes it more enjoyable and more accessible and the best feeling to know that you can enjoy coffee shop style quality at home! There are many coffee brands out there but for me personally I feel that Nescafe are the leading coffee brand and are constantly striving to produce the best coffee for all occasions. There are the Nescafe Dolce Gusto pods which offer you coffee in many differen...
