Hassle free parenting with Phillips Avent

Philips Avent SCD620 Digital Video Monitor

As a parent and a first time new mum, looking after our little one is number one priority and ensuring that he is safe at all times is most important and so I was so pleased to have come across the baby monitors from Phillips Avent which allowed us to have a worry free evening and night and know that baby could be checked upon at all times. I have the Philips Avent SCD620 Digital Video Monitor and I just have to share my love about this fabulous and innovative product.

There are two parts to this product which make it work. The parent unit which is the main screen and then there is the day camera/infrared camera unit.
The parent unit Monitor has a range of up to 150 metres and the screen is in colour for the best part of the day and when the sun goes down it then turns into infrared so even in the dark the little one can be seen. There are a few fabulous options on the monitor which are video mode audio mode, eco-mode and vox mode. I personally find video mode the most useful as we are able to see where the baby is moving rather than just hear him.

The other good thing is that there are a good handful of pre-tuned lullabies in the monitor already which play through to where he is in his bedroom and can be set on the main part of the monitor but also played by pressing the music button on the other camera part of the monitor which stays in babies room.

The monitor is really easy to connect up and put together and the LCD screen is a fair size (2.7inches) so you have a pretty good view of baby and his surroundings. This monitor is battery and mains operated and is a must for all new parents and also a great product to have as it's portable and really does a superb job so you can be a little more free and know when baby needs you.

For me now, I have full peace of mind and it's very easy to clean the house or go and have a bath whilst baby is napping as I can carry the parent unit with me and watch him and hear him so I never have to worry if he is okay.

Dining delights of Mayfair - El Pirata

Mayfair is full of magic and sparkle indeed but when you come across hidden gems in the form of food and drink, that’s what makes London even more special. Set in the heart of Mayfair, but nestled in Down Street lies little Espana, a truly amazing Tapas restaurant called El Pirata.  This restaurant really does bring the taste of Spain to London and will leave your taste buds wanting more. El Pirata boasts a menu spanning more than 60 dishes ranging from meats, seafood, chicken to vegetables and there is something for all tastes. The portions are a generous size and are full of taste and succulent in all the right places. Whether you want to pop in for a light lunch, a romantic candle lit dinner, or want to have a drink with friends and family, you won’t be disappointed with what’s on offer. Their wine menu on its own has a collection of OVER 140 Spanish wines but non wine drinkers, don’t fret as there are also beers and soft drinks available.  The extensive bar...

The very best in BBQ, with love from Bodean's - Covent Garden, London

Barbecue food is slowly becoming the latest trend and hearing about the ultimate barbecue experience being Bodean's restaurant in London’s Covent Garden, I couldn’t wait to try it out and sample the delights on offer.  The Bodean’s Covent Garden is the newest of their 7 restaurants and the brand was founded in 2002 by Canadian restaurant entrepreneur Andre Blais. This is definitely a meat eaters paradise and a completely different dining experience to I literally feel walking into the restaurant that I am no longer in the UK and that I am in a buzzing Texan bar/restaurant. The restaurant is a style sophistication and definitely has a huge southern vibe to it. Aromas of the food catch you soon as you walk in and instantly have you wondering what’s on the menu.  Whether you like chicken, beef, pork or prawns; there is something here for you.  The menu is quite vast but at the same time each dish is very interesting and leaves you wondering what to actu...

The rise of the UK coffee culture

There is no denying that the rise in coffee culture is growing rapidly year by year. It seems like the sociable and “in” thing to do nowadays is to go and grab a coffee with a bunch of friends and catch up. I have also noticed more and more that coffee is becoming quite the perfect commodity on a social level where it’s being enjoyed by many individuals such as businessmen, university students right through to mums and housewives.   The best thing about it is that coffee manufacturers are now producing a higher quality coffee that can be enjoyed in the comfort of your own home which makes it more enjoyable and more accessible and the best feeling to know that you can enjoy coffee shop style quality at home! There are many coffee brands out there but for me personally I feel that Nescafe are the leading coffee brand and are constantly striving to produce the best coffee for all occasions. There are the Nescafe Dolce Gusto pods which offer you coffee in many differen...
